Sunday Pilot Continues

Thanks to all of you who participated in our Truax Sunday hours pilot during the fall semester. Our staff has reviewed the data and shared experiences from the fall semester.  As a result, we have elected to continue the pilot into the spring semester.

The pilot provides Sunday support from noon-6:00 in the last half of the semester when the need seems to be greatest.   Our first tentatively scheduled Sunday is March 23.

We continue to be open Saturdays from 9:00-1:00 all semester.

YouTube Information

Did you know that Madison College Libraries has created some short video pieces on YouTube to help you navigate your way through our resources, services and spaces.  We will be adding more of these over spring semester as well.   Have a topic you would like to us to cover?  Let your librarian know.  Check them out.

Print Smart Update Jan 2014

Madison College students you are Print Smart.  You printed a lot less during fall semester. Way to go!  Keep up the great work.

You should all have received your new "free" allotment from the College on Monday, January 6.  The free allotment is 150 black and white prints.  Fifty of those prints are for accidental prints, printer jams, etc.  If you added money to you account and have a remaining balance, that too, will also roll over.

If you have questions:

Learn more from any of your librarians.  Get the facts.

Book a Study Room Online!

Students can now book a group study room at Truax and our new rooms at Fort Atkinson, Watertown and Reedsburg ONLINE from any computer and mobile device.  Students can book a maximum of 2 hours per day up to 4 hour per week.  Each location has their own QR codes to make for easier access.  The booking link is on the library's website, right side orange box.  The rooms are for student use only and the Truax rooms have the best view in the house. They are awesome.   Read the brief instructions and book away.  You will need to check-in with a librarian to gain access to the room.  Have fun.

Did You Know

Check out our latest way to update you!   The Did You Know series contains 1-3 minute videos highlighting our services, staff, resources and even our new spaces.  They are available in closed captioning and are even archived [we are librarians, would you expect any less].  We have a few rolled out and will be adding many more.

Orange You Wondering?

Wondering why those orange bookmarks are in some of our books at Truax? Here's the poop.  They are helping us prepare for the moving of our stacks to the new library space in August 2013.  You will see them coming and going throughout the next year.  We just ask that you do not remove them otherwise it could confuse us.  Confused librarians = not good.  :-)  We appreciate it.  Thanks
